I crave you

By: Pamela J. Peters

I crave your hair, your lips, your face…

I crave caressing your velvety black hair… Your hair is my rain, my tradition, my comfort… I hold your hair to hold on to what was once before broken treaties…
I hold your hair tight as to not wanting to let go of thoughts of yester-years when we once lived freely…

I crave kissing your beautiful subtle full lips, oh those lips…
Those lips are a gift given from the gods…
I am forever seduced by those lips…
Thoughts of those lips on my brown shoulders, my brown arms, my brown leg… its become my serenity…
Yet, thoughts of those lips will haunt me through eternity…

I crave your angelic face… your face launches me be back to past before battles on Indian land, past to when our ancestors lived without fear at hand…
Your alluring face gives hope, love and laughter to Native land…

But most of all, I crave your touch, your touch shakes me from pasts that come alive when I let quietness and sadness get to me…
I want your touch like the morning sun greeting life daily…
I want your touch like beautiful sunset that ends my days…
I want your fingerprints all over me!

In the mist of loneliness …
I crave you…
